Foutrement
Foutrement explores infidelity: men and women at the mercy of temptation and their baser instincts. Three dancers, a man and two women, in love, ripped apart, wounded, betrayed, move with racked bodies, sagging under the weight of Love’s disillusionment. Ecstasy and suffering become one.
In a fabric of scenes supported by light and music, Foutrement is inspired by movement styles that range from classical to contemporary, linked together by a gestural life that is at times lyrical, at times abrupt, but always very physical, where powerful movement and lifts combine to create a work of remarkable emotive force.
